Dr. Overbaugh explains what superinfection is, as different from dual infection or evolving strains, and how this distinction may be important in the clinic. She also describes some of the novel research that was presented, and how some of the research informs policy not only in the clinic but in human behavior in prevention and especially in the zoonotic transmissions through bush meat in Africa.
